Lakeside is the cleanest campsite that we have stayed at on Lake Texoma. The bathroom facilities were cleaned multiple times daily. The grounds were clean as well. The park ranger made several rounds while we were camped there. It is our go-to spot now.

We feel that Lakeside is one of the best campgrounds on Lake Texoma (geographically). The "beaches" are nice (aside from some erosion prevention materials starting to cause a few issues) and the views are great. It is situated in an area protected from the overall waves of the lake but it takes only a couple minutes to get to the open areas if you so chose. Now the bad: I understand that a large part of the park was fully underwater just a month before our visit but the electrical for us and those around us was a huge issue. We have a medium size 30amp camper. The circuit breaker on the pole "popped" numerous times (both our's and the neighbor's). We couldn't get any answer when we called but managed to catch a guy on a golf cart. He said he would let the host know. They moved us to another spot and promised to fix the pole in the morning. Three days later it was time for us to go - the pole was never repaired. It would be nice if the host could be reached by phone (any day, any hour). The dude on the cart said we had to go to the gate if we needed the camp host. We are in a motor home and do not drag a toad so that would mean disconnecting, bringing in the awning and slides, and preparing everything for driving if we needed to contact the campground. Still, overall it was a nice few days on the lake.

Be prepared the ants are really bad at the campsite A02. Also the showers don't have enough or any ventilation, it is so hot in there you really don't feel like you took a shower. Other than those two things our campsite was great. Really had a good time at Lakeside site A02, we will be going back I'm sure.

Flooding continues, though beautiful scenery.

Generally quiet, though train-noise regularly noted disturbing. Staff regularly make-rounds, and the raccoons especially, are abundant.
