I have stayed at Lakeside numerous times over the years and have always enjoyed this campground. This year it was unkept, the trash dumpster running over and the trash cans at the boat ramp running over and trash all around it. Also we couldn't even put our boat in and pull up to the fishing dock to pick up the driver of our truck and boat trailer because every side of the courtesy dock and the fish cleaning dock were taken by fishing guides waiting on clients. Sometimes they were tied together two deep all the way around. Their are at least 8-10 guides using the docks for their personal commercial business. Also you couldn't even pull in to clean your fish because they had it completely taken over. Then when it comes to parking your truck and boat trailer good luck as their clients in their cars and pickups take up the places that are for trailer parking. I wish I could have included a picture of the fish that the guides dumped on the fish cleaning dock decking. there was literally over 100 fish dumped in a pile so wide and long you couldn't get around the dock on that side. The main gates to the campground were not closed the entire time we were there which made us uneasy about leaving anything out at night.

Excellent other than significant issues with FIREANTS!!! We had 6 couples staying in various campsites at Lakeside. Everyone was bit by fireants. We have stayed at Lakeside for years, camp host (Rose) is helpful. But fireants are out of control!!

Gate attendant was very rude when she couldn’t find my reservation even after I showed them confirmation of my stay on the app. Sites on the entrance road in B section need a lot of maintenance done. There was 1’ drop offs from asphalt to ground, very dangerous!!!

I know that it is winter and no water at the individual campsites, therefore the bathrooms were closed but the porta potties did not have any toilet paper. We arrived on Friday and there was not any toilet paper until Saturday. There were people staying at the park before we arrived and said there had not been toilet paper for days.

We camp here several times a year, but this past weekend, the showers were locked and there was no toilet paper in the bathrooms.

I really like camping at lake side. But I wish they would start enforcing the leash law. To many dogs running lose. It never been like that before. I had three different dogs come to my camp site. Im not a dog hater but keep your dogs at your camp site. Somebody going to get bite.

I would like to say we have camped at Lakeside for several years and we love it. It is a family oriented, quiet and the staff is very friendly. It is always clean and well kept campground. I just can't say enough about it, we love it and will camp there until we cannot camp any more. The lake is beautiful and the fishing is fantastic. What more can you ask for. Thank you Lakeside for your excellence in making it what it is now.
