Park was clean and appeared well cared for, but the last mile to the park was unpaved which made for a dusty mess. We are new to COE parks, pulled in for an overnight stop (no reservation) and with the gate unmanned were unsure how to proceed. Thank goodness for the on site volunteer who was very helpful.

We loved the site we stayed in for a good view of the water and distance from other sites. The pictures depicting our site was pretty much true to reality. The water pressure was really forceful; be sure your regulator is in good working order. All sites are pretty well spaced from others, so this campground in our opinion is well designed and comfortable for the campers. It was very quiet at night, and dark skies for star watching.
We came in on a spring break weekend. There were lots of kids and families; very busy. Very friendly. It was so nice to see the families felt safe letting their kids ride and walk around the campground all day and into the evening, yet, no one ever intruded on our site. It felt safe and peaceful, though lively. The volunteers were visible, friendly, and helpful. The bathrooms were a bit disappointing, but to be fair, they were probably blown out with high use. Also, the design where the shower essentially blends into the toilet area with no separation is problematic. The floor to the toilet area was wet, constantly, from shower overflow.
The only odd experience we had was on Saturday night. There were a couple of families camped near to one another who were pretty loud after quiet hours, not with music, but with kid noise. Someone on the hills outside the park started shooting! We wondered if they'd had enough of the noise and did this to send a "quiet down!" message. Well, if so, it worked; they got quiet, after about 6 gunshots. So, maybe staff should do a little better job of enforcing quiet hours?
We loved the lake and the land and visiting Ponca City was a treat; nice museums, good restaurants. We'll definitely be back for another stay.

This was a beautiful lake. Anywhere you park you are able to see the lake and have beautiful view. Food fishing spot. You can sit and watch them jump out of the water. Sites were clean, some shady areas with lots of trees. Good playground, bathrooms and showers. It was a perfect week!

The lake is nice, but the waters was still a bit high from the heavier rains earlier in the summer. Gate keeper was great and very accommodating. There was a religious group there who were not very good neighbors, lacking the camping ethics, so that was disappointing.

Very clean a well maintained camp site. Roads are new pavement. Clean showers and restrooms. If the rain wouldn’t have set in it would have been even better.
