Lost Rapids

Lost rapids is a beautiful place to visit but it definitely needs upkeep and repairs. Multiple picnic tables are broken and some fire pits are missing or damaged. The covers that belong over the water maintenance access are all broken or missing and filled with leaves so it makes it dangerous for people walking around their camp in the dark. Those holes are over a foot deep so are definitely a trip hazard. I stayed 9 days and enjoyed my time there but really wished there were some improvements made to keep our beautiful park safe and enjoyable.

I stayed there at the end of February tent sight #8 , it is very big and spacious . I was surprised to find handicapped restrooms with hot showers , flush toilets , motion sensor lighting . On sight host as well if you need any assistance.
The Ringold Convenience/General Store is less than a mile away,very friendly people , with a Cafe there as well .

The campsite were good. The bathrooms were very clean and nice. Will definately stay there again.

We live close by but it's closer to our jobs than our home. It is a wonderful place to stay. We go to work everyday from here and don't have to worry about our things getting stolen or messed with. Get to see deer everyday. Not catching much fish but it's pretty peaceful.

Wonderful place. It was so beautiful and peaceful. Love to sit out by the fire each evening as well in the morning drinking our coffee.
Was enjoyable to go on walks throughout the campground also.

I always enjoy staying at Lost Rapids. Beautiful lake and night skies with lots of stars.

Peaceful place

The camp host was great, the campground was clean, and the bathrooms were clean and well kept. The pad wasn't level nor well marked. I was in a truck camper (at site #22) and I made it work with some leveling but could have been better. The concrete table was in poor condition and the fire ring was full of grass. Finally the fresh water connection was a ways away from the pad. Again, not an issue for me but for someone who wanted to hook up to the water they would need probably 50' of hose instead of a more normal 25'. These were not issues for me overall but that's why 4/5 instead of 5/5.
