Good location for a wooded camping experience. Campsite spacing is adequate. Our site (#53) sloped down considerably which required maximum lift on the tongue jack but was otherwise quite nice. Not much grass in the wooded campsites but it was a short walk to the lakeshore where there was lots of grass and open area.

Buckhorn campground has been my favorite place for nearly fifteen years now. This time was no exception. It’s very clean, well maintained, beautiful and full of wildlife. This include a feral house at that came to visit us during our stay.🙂
The weather was absolutely perfect. The walks were relaxing and enjoyable. Good times!

This place is a hidden gem, good facilities and water and power. Also the closest town is a awesome place to understand the Chickasaw people with many interesting sites dedicated to the Chickasaw people.

Nice, treed site was very large. There is plenty of space between sites too. The bathroom/showers were a bit of a walk, but not too bad. Not very populated when we were there so it was really nice and quiet. Would definitely return to this park.

Great spot. Lots of space. Glad we got one on this side of the road, as the other side has more dense undergrowth and a steep drop off. Good bath house and lake is close. If only it had sewer!
