Got there about 7 Friday night, about 1am the electric went out. Tried reaching out to host. nobody answered. Finally got a hold of them next morning about 9. They said they didn't know nothing about it and they would call cotton electric when he got time, but they couldn't control the electric... Most of stuff in icebox had to be kept in cooler. I know stuff happens but, there was no concern to it at all.
Also called the other Kiowa and the man that answered was very rude and told us he had no idea and theirs was turned on about an hour and a half to 2 hours ago and to get with the people at the gate, he couldn't help us.

we had a great view of the lake in sunrise. Also showers and the playground for my kids to play.

The people at the gate were great. Very friendly and helpful. The park was mowed and in great condition.

We always enjoy our time at K1. The beach was great for the kids, I just wish they’d add a soft beach area to park boats!

Excellent campground with plenty of spots with view of the lake. The only drawback is that most water hookups require 30ft or more of hose for use

Fishing from the bank was great and the campsites were roomy. I was shocked to find out there was an extreme flood at some point according to the satellite imagery on Life360. So if you visit have some grace because the majority of their budget was spent on rebuilding the roads. We will definitely visit again from out of state.

We had a lovely place by the lake. Weather turned cold and we had to stay mostly in our camper. It would be nice if there were fire pits in the areas
Showers did not work. Bathrooms were fairly clean. I would like to see more attention done to the campground. Having trash dumpsters closer would be a nice addition. As a COE camping area compared to others we’ve used this one needs help.
We made the best of our stay. We did leave a day early. The gentleman at the gate was very friendly.

Overall it is a great camp site. The bathrooms and toilets could use some attention but functioned fine. Will definitely be back
