Got there about 7 Friday night, about 1am the electric went out. Tried reaching out to host. nobody answered. Finally got a hold of them next morning about 9. They said they didn't know nothing about it and they would call cotton electric when he got time, but they couldn't control the electric... Most of stuff in icebox had to be kept in cooler. I know stuff happens but, there was no concern to it at all.
Also called the other Kiowa and the man that answered was very rude and told us he had no idea and theirs was turned on about an hour and a half to 2 hours ago and to get with the people at the gate, he couldn't help us.

We had the best time! We took our 3 kids and it was the perfect spot to swim and play in the sand on one side; the other side was the perfect spot to fish! It was peaceful, the wildlife was beautiful and the neighbors were lovely also. We will definitely be back!!

Another great stay at Waurika Lake! Clean, well-patrolled. My dog and I appreciated not having to deal with fireworks!

The water and the site we stayed at was nice. However, while driving around I noticed so many sites with no access to water because of the overgrowth. Also, the restrooms and showers used to be the reason we went to this particular place but not this time. The showers at the beech area had no lights and the drains were clogged(good thing I had slides on). They used to clean the restrooms daily during the busy season but we were there 3 days and they never got cleaned. Wasp nest in area stall was annoying causing me to have to drive to town to get wasp spray. I gave it a fair rating only because my campsite was decently mowed and the water was nice.
