I want to give a 5 star to the camphosts that take care of the Wildcat campground. The camphosts do a great job and are very helpful and friendly. The restrooms are always very clean and always equipped with plenty of toilet paper. The actual campsites are always picked up and clean after the campers leave that campsite by the camphosts.
It’s sad that they drain this lake 24/7. But I still love coming out here to Haytt Lake at Wildcat campground. There are still plenty of wildlife to sit back and watch. It is very quite and most people obey the rules. It is usually about 20 degrees cooler than the Medford area.

The obvious is that the reservoir is practically nonexistent, but other than that Mrs. Lincoln, the campground is great. The campground only had a few campers, so it was super quiet. The hosts were great. The bathrooms were super clean. We had a really nice stay. Great place if you are looking to get away and do some nice hiking, the PCT is at the entrance of the park.

The lake was basically dry when we visited, but if you are looking for a quiet, scenic camp site, this is a great choice.

Wildcat has great sites away from the main campgrounds. I didn’t mind that there was no water at this location in August 2022 because the CG was almost empty AND it was easy to keep myself occupied.

The campgrounds are very well kept. The bathroom and showers are clean and kept in good condition. The park hosts are very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The campground is in amongst tall trees and provide a lot of shade. The bummer part is that the lake has hardly any water and is not able to be used for any recreational activity. The PCT comes right through the campgrounds and offers some nice hiking.

The campground was nice and quiet and the camp hosts were very hospitable and kept the bathrooms nice and clean. With the PCT so close, we were able to chat with some of the hikers. We had a very enjoyable 4 nights
