I enjoyed it here. It's not heavily wooded where I was so I wasn't often bothered by anyone around me making much if any noise. It's nice just to sit and watch the wildlife and the crows living in the woods nearby were amusing to listen to. The lake was a bit low while I was here which was fine by me since I don't own a boat and didn't come to use the lake as much as just to sit by the water and watch the wildlife. Nice place to get away from the usual noisy hordes of campers that seem to inhabit most other campgrounds. Kind of a hidden gem of sorts and so shhh, don't tell anyone.

The sites are nice and shady. The bathrooms are clean. The only problem was how low the water was. It was hard to launch even a SUP. And the seaweed kept catching on my scagg. Also, I heard a “rumor” that there are leeches in the water. That didn’t keep me out of the lake, but I was VERY careful.;)

Gorgeous site. The water was so low we could walk around the reservoir for miles. It was beautiful to see the old trees, desiccated by the water, like standing driftwood. The old-fashioned metal pump gave delicious, sparkling clear, cold water, about 12oz a pump. Wonderful sunrises and sunsets, fascinating flora. I would have liked to take a swim but it isn't recommended right now. The ride down Highway 66 towards Ashland around sunrise the next day was one of the best I've done.

Not very well maintained and dirty. Water in reservoir was low, neighbors were loud and obnoxious. Will not visit again.

This location was quiet and nice. Shower and restroom on site was clean. The lake was disappointing since I was expecting to play in water and fish.

This location was beautiful. Our site had a direct view of the lake and the sunset. We had deer run through and graze right around us. The site was well situated with the parking right next to the picnic table/fire pit area. Only thing is we were quite close to other camp sites and there wasn't much in terms of privacy. The trash was also over-flowing. There were only a few mosquitos but lots of small flies/moths.

Loved the scenery and wildlife that moved around the area. Sites were not right on top of each other. The only downfall, which cannot be helped by the recreation area, was the low lake level. Docks were no longer out in the water and we sank up to our knees in mud. Not an easy swimming or kayak launching situation.
However, we loved the area so much that we hope to be back in a few months.
