This campsite is a gem in Southern Oregon! Beautiful area, clean sites/toilets. The staff are friendly and helped us find a spot to fish nearby. I would definitely stay here again!

Enjoyed this campground, very little light pollution. Bathrooms have free showers and places to keep your clothes as you shower, a good amount of counter space. We stopped by here between Lassen and Crater Lake, would recommend

Pros: very clean facilities, excellent hosts (Vicky was very kind, friendly and welcoming), beautiful scenery, no trash, showers were free, well maintained.
Cons: typical older shower head, hot water a bit meh but relatively decent. Biggest con is the lake was nearly nonexistent but who has control of the drought?
It just happened to be a rainy 4th of July so very few people (also probably because there was no lake) so it was very quiet.
Overall one of our favorite places to go that is nearby (Medford).

Great facilities and the campground hosts were just amazing. The bathrooms were spotless. Campsites were spaced out well. One of the nicest campground stays I've had in recent memory.

The campground was nice and quiet and the camp hosts were very hospitable and kept the bathrooms nice and clean. With the PCT so close, we were able to chat with some of the hikers. We had a very enjoyable 4 nights

The campgrounds are very well kept. The bathroom and showers are clean and kept in good condition. The park hosts are very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The campground is in amongst tall trees and provide a lot of shade. The bummer part is that the lake has hardly any water and is not able to be used for any recreational activity. The PCT comes right through the campgrounds and offers some nice hiking.

The lake had been drained, so there was basically no water and it was full of leeches. We had to leave because it was very hot that weekend and we could not cool off in the ‘lake.’ The camp hosts were very helpful and apologetic and gave us recommendations for where else we could go. Recreation.gov was not. I tried to get a refund, and they never got back to me. The only alert provided was that the lake level was “low” and the boat ramp was closed. This did not accurately represent the situation. I would recommend cancelling any trip to Hyatt lake if there is any mention of lake levels being lower than normal, just to be safe. Additionally, we were in the group site, which is advertised to accommodate 150 people. This might work if everyone comes in a large RV, but there are only two spots for tents in the whole group site, so I’m not sure how 150 people are supposed to sleep there. Just another word of caution! Otherwise, the facilities are really nice. I wish we could have stayed, but sitting around in the sun for three 100 degree days with no lake wasn’t particularly appealing.

Directions: From Ashland, Oregon (Interstate-5 Exit 14): Turn on Highway 66 toward Klamath Falls. Follow Highway 66 for 17 miles until you reach the Green Springs Inn. Turn north onto the Bureau of Land Management's East Hyatt Lake Road. Follow the road for approximately 3 miles until you reach the Hyatt Lake Recreation Area. Stay to the right on East Hyatt Lake Road; an entry booth, located at the entrance to the campground, has visitor camping information.
To get to Wildcat Campground and the Equestrian Campground continue past the entrance booth and Hyatt Lake Campground entrance for approximately 2 miles on East Hyatt Lake road and the entrance to Wildcat Campground and the Equestrian Campground will be on the left.
Hyatt Lake Recreation Area is accessible via Interstate 5, with the nearest exit being Exit 14 for Highway 66. Highway 66 connects to the recreation area after approximately 17 miles.
