USFS CGs have gone downhill since turning them over to concessionaires. There is no maintenance, the Road is full of monster chuck holes, tree limbs hang too low, and the dumpsters are over flowing. So sad as Big River is a beautiful spot.

USFS CGs have gone downhill since turning them over to concessionaires. There is no maintenance, the Road is full of monster chuck holes, tree limbs hang too low, and the dumpsters are over flowing. So sad as Big River is a beautiful spot.

The river next to this campground was very beautiful and the camping spots are nice and big. I've rated it 3/5 because the driveway entrance is very rough and the highway is pretty close so you can't escape the road noise. We were only there for one night. There is much to do in the vicinity with many attractions and endless miles of trails for hiking. Highly recommend the Newberry Volcanic area as a vacation destination.

The river next to this campground was very beautiful and the camping spots are nice and big. Century Dr. then another right to stay on S Century Dr. Follow S Century Dr. / NF-4205, then make a right onto Bonanza Lane, and another right to stay on Bonanza which will lead you into the campground.

Big River is accessed via Hwy. 97, which is approximately 17 miles north of the campground, providing major road connectivity.
