What Guests Are Saying
Mallard Marsh Campground is a favorite for its beautiful, peaceful setting near the lake, spacious campsites, and well-maintained facilities. While the campground can get crowded and noise levels may rise, especially from camp host generators, many visitors appreciate the tranquil atmosphere and lovely views. Some amenities, like flush toilets and running water, are inaccurately advertised, but overall, the campground offers a great experience for campers.

Mallard Marsh is our favorite campground. Love the access to the lake, ample parking, and area has enough space for several tents as well as our camper. We’ll continue our yearly family camping trip!

I have stayed here many times and everyone has been quiet and respectful with regards to noise. That is, until this trip! The campground was mostly full and as usual, the campers were quiet but I wish I could have said the same for the camp host and their less than quiet generator! They ran their generator most of the day with an ocassional hour or so break. It was so obnoxious that you could not enjoy the birds and breeze in the trees. In fact, you could even here it while paddling on the lake at some distance away. So sad to ruin the usually very peaceful experience for those around them. Our spot was just across the road from the camp host. I recommend camping as far away as possible from the camp host to avoid the worst of it. Hopefully, a more considerate camp host will be there in the future.

Always a wonderful place to visit. At a time when surrounding recreation areas were crowded and noisy, it was quiet and peaceful in camp.

Beautiful campground by the marsh. Lovely views and the stars! Camp sites are big and plenty of spots for tents, trees in them, lot's of foliage and flowers. Pull through driveway. Minimal traffic. Lot's of dust. Big picnic table and fire ring. Bathroom is gross and stinky.

Quiet, peaceful campground on the lake. Facilities are primitive (no water & vault toilets) but very beautiful. Mosquitos are everywhere so bring plenty of spray.

Great spot to camp. There was plenty of room in the campsites and each one had a fire ring and table. No bear boxes or running water. I wish it would have had direct/walking access to Hosmer Lake, but overall a good spot to camp.
