What Guests Are Saying
Chinquapin Group Campground offers ample space for tents and a pleasant swimming hole nearby, which kids enjoyed. The campground's location provides a nice balance of isolation, allowing for a relaxed atmosphere while being conveniently situated between Cave Junction and Oregon Caves Park. Although the toilets were non-flushing, they were kept clean, and drinking water was readily available.

The campground had an ample field for many tents. We stuck near the boundaries because of the morning and afternoon sunshine, which was quite hot in July. The creek has a swimming hole across the road from the campground, which our kids enjoyed very much. The public trail that starts at the back of the parking lot was used only a few times during our weeklong stay and the folks passing through were very respectful of our camp site. We were very happy to be a little isolated from the Grayback Campground as our group of kids was still awake after 10pm, and being across the road meant we were not disturbing other campers and could be more relaxed. Drinking water was readily available. The toilets were not flushing, but were clean and maintenance came by twice during our stay to keep them that way. We were super happy to be halfway between Cave Junction the town and the Oregon Caves Park. It made our visit there very easy, and the caves are spectacular.
