Loved the many trails around the lakes and off to the dunes. The campground was very quiet and well maintained.

The campground has a lot of trees and shrubs so there’s some privacy for each tent site. Restroom was kept clean but there’s no sink. They have Bear Aware signs posted which is good to know so you can keep your site clean. Easy access to amenities in town, Florence was about a 5 minute drive. Overall enjoyed my stay at Alder Dune.

It's a gorgeous campsite, my new favorite. It's like something out of Middle Earth. Impossibly beautiful, and very cool, with many funky, disparate camp sites.
BUT the camp host charges a RUINOUS amount for firewood, $9 for a tiny bundle, or four bundles for $35. Each bundle only contained 4-5 very small pieces of wood..... kindling basically. I spent $70 and it didn't even last the weekend. I have NEVER paid more than $7 a bundle from a camp host, usually only $5, and they always contained a goodly amount of wood. I like to support the campground and hosts by buying wood right there, but this time I very much feel like I was ripped off, and that makes me reluctant to return, no matter how much I love the campground itself.

Nice campground. Very private spaces. Only issue is that some sites have uneven parking spaces. Need to level your RV.

Beautiful campground with very private spots surrounded by vegetation. Really nice walking trails all around the little lakes right by the campground. And a beautiful 3 mi hike from the campground to the beach - very worthwhile. The campground was clean and well maintained. We will definitely be back. The only improvement that would be nice Is some of the branches needed to be trimmed for big rigs in the bigger sites.
