We have stayed here many times and will be back again. The cabins are nice and clean and pretty well described on the website. The view is good and close to a lot of interesting places to see. The owners have always been super accommodating if we had any needs. Go stay there you'll love it!

Decent location close to Steens. Cabin was one room with bed, chairs and kitchen. Nice porch. Could have used more silverware, a little salt and pepper amd shampoo would be nice. Hospitality was lukewarm. Place was clean.

Review - Don't stay here. Why - the mosquitoes are the worst and the owners have bad attitudes and rub people the wrong way. I told Debbie they sell solar powered mosquitoes traps, thinking it was a good suggestion, as we own one. Thought one in each corner of the campground would help. She said, well then next time we should bring ours.
July 2026, this trip we booked an RV spot & a tent spot for 2 nights. My daughter went in to get ice at the office and Debbie grilled her about how many tents, their size and location. My daughter told her she only had one tent. Then Debbie said well it's a good thing you leave tomorrow, any longer and we would have to move tent sites as they don't want the tents on the grass to long so it doesn't kill the grass. Say what?
The day we were leaving, check out is noon, Debbie's husband came up to our site at 11 am and told us we needed to vacate our spot immediately as they have another camper coming in, which was expected at noon. Hey, check in is 2 pm. It's on the reservation form. And the campground was basically EMPTY!! Our spots were paid for until noon, they wanted us to leave early and didn't offer a refund 馃槖.
We have been coming to the Steens and this Resort ever since 2010. Every 2 to 3 years to visit the site where my husband's brothers ashes are spread. My husband said this is the last time at the resort. At least until it sells. Yes, it's up for sale.
When we first started coming this place was packed, but over the years Debbie & her husband have ran people off with their abrasive attitude. The Steens Mountains themselves are a beautiful place to visit. We definitely recommend coming and exploring. Just do not stay at the resort until it sells.

We loved the location! Sitting on the deck and watching the sunset was AMAZING! So tranquil, quiet and restorative after a long day of driving. The stargazing was the best feature of this stay - no lights anywhere, just a gazillion stars! Wow!

This a wonderful little resort that is a long ways away from civilization. The cabin we rented was clean and comfortable and stocked with everything we needed for our getaway. It has an above average wifi signal for being so far out in the Oregon outback. If you are looking for the Hilton, this is not that. If you're looking for a place to sleep and prepare meals while exploring SE Oregon, you've found it.
