Horseshoe Bend Campground offers a beautiful, peaceful setting along the North Umpqua River, with clean and spacious sites, many providing river access. The campground is well-maintained, with a friendly camp host who enhances the welcoming atmosphere. While there are some concerns regarding restroom maintenance, the overall experience, including the scenic location and access to outdoor activities, makes it a favorite among campers.

As it was raining, no one rose in the entire campground. Many sites had reservation dates while we were here but no occupants.
What happens to those sites? How long before they are back in the available sites? What happens to campers who do not show up?

Outstanding campground. I generally dot like campground camping but this place is awesome. It is away from the road so all you hear is the river. Beautiful.

Horseshoe Bend is a beautiful, woodsy, campground along the clear, cold North Umpqua river. It's nestled just far enough away from the highway to block any traffic noise. Several sites have river views and direct access and all have access through shared paths. Less than a mile upstream has an access for launching rafts, kayaks and canoes making a perfect location for boating the class III/IV section of river to Gravel Bin. Upstream, Boulder Flat campground provides a boat launch for boating the class II/III section back to Horseshoe bend.
