It was a great place to stay overnight on the way down Pacific 1 and Redwoods NP.

Sandbeach Campground offers a well-maintained and clean environment with friendly camp hosts, making it a popular choice for ATV and off-road enthusiasts. While the location is praised for its proximity to the dunes and beach, the level of noise from ATV activity and loud parties can detract from a peaceful camping experience. Visitors seeking a quieter retreat may want to consider alternative options, but families and recreationists generally enjoy the vibrant atmosphere and amenities provided.

I can’t see camping here if you don’t have some kind of sand vehicle. My family has been coming here forever, the campground is always well maintained and the hosts are first rate.

Walk to the beach was easy and nice, be aware that the quite hours are between 12am and 6am for OHV traffic. Although that did not stop people from tearing through the campsites at 3am full bore. Sites were okay walking around we noticed litter all around, we picked up what we saw to try and help out. Bathrooms were fairly clean.

It was a nice campground overall. But was set up for ATVs, and they were loud even after it should have been quiet time.

Access is easy and close to some good hiking and coastal areas it is however primarily a dune riders paradise and all that includes. Very noisy vehicles from morning to night.

Overall a well maintained campground. Camp hosts were friendly and helpful when we had questions. Only real issue is that since this is a place for ATV's to play some campers felt the need to violate the "No night riding!" rule and about 3 AM one morning two or three of them fired up their toys and were running up and down for about 30 minutes or so.
Minor problem is that it appears that many of the campers don't comprehend the concept of "Leave it cleaner than it was when you got here." I spent about 45 minutes cleaning up garbage that was left all around my campsite.
Since we don't ride ATV's we will only camp here in the low use season, never in the prime time for riding.

We understood that this campground services atv campers for the dunes. Hard to escape them.

Very nice campground overall, unfortunately the noise of the ATVs is loud and disturbs the camping feeling. We knew that, because this campground is pretty much for that purpose. However, since we didn't use ATVs for us it was disturbing.
Also, it was weird that there was no way to pay for the campsite without paying the $ 8 reservation fee. Which is not the case in other campgrounds when you pay first come first serve. There was no way to avoid the reservation fee even though no reservation was needed.
