This campground is popular with sand dunes for the OHV people, and it has an estuary for fishermen and kayakers. It’s a longish walk to the ocean, but rewarding because it’s not crowded, and the surf is always interesting. Tillamook is nearby, with restaurants and the world famous Tillamook Creamery. Cape Lookout is near also, and the lighthouse. There is something for everyone here

Amazing time riding with friends and family. A little bit of everything for all. Not for people that want a quiet weekend, maybe try the weekday. This is fun rowdy active adult and kid friendly camping. Camps are clean and well organized.

The campsite was adequate, though the toilets needed some updating. The location is great, close to the beach and dunes. However, we couldn't really enjoy those because of the many ATVs, quads and motor bikes (almost everyone on the campground had at least one of those), especially the noise they make, which lasted until late in the evening (midnight) and started early in the morning (from 6am). We came here for the location, expecting to enjoy some peace and quiet, but because of the noise we couldn't. We canceled our second night and went looking for another campground in the mountains. We would recommend this campground only if you are into ATVs, quads and motor bikes and riding those on the beach and through the dunes. Otherwise, please skip.

Area is a short walk from the beach, bathrooms were clean though no soap. Everything was great except for the squirrels. These Squirrels have no fear of man and will get into whatever they possibly can. Ate a hole through my tent and a friends backpack to get to some poorly sealed trail mix, the same squirrel pooped everywhere inside my tent and destroyed a bunch of stuff. aside from that i caught crab with a fishing pole on the shore. Great campsite, keep anything edible to a squirrel absolutely vacuum sealed. And bring a dirt bike or atv, the dunes seemed worth it.

Sandbeach Campground is accessible via Highway 101, which is approximately 11 miles to the east from Tillamook. Sandlake Road (County Road 871) connects directly to Highway 101 and leads to Galloway Road.

16 mi drive to downtown Hebo (about 23 min)
Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.

- This campground does not provide RV hookups or dump stations.
Vehicles & parking
- Motorized vehicles on sand must comply with Oregon OHV regulations.
Fees & deposits
- A ticket system is in place for Fourth of July weekend; vehicle tickets or campground reservations are required.
