About Bull Prairie Campground (OR)

Bull Prairie Campground is a local gem; a beautiful, woodsy place to enjoy a vacation, host a family reunion or social event, and to enjoy multiple recreational pursuits. This moderate-sized campground is located adjacent to 28-acre Bull Prairie Lake, which is stocked annually with trout. An accessible, family-friendly paved trail along the lake is ideal for morning jogs, bicycle rides, picnicking, and shore or dockside fishing. The lake has a boat ramp, dock and trailer parking area, but only non-motorized boating is allowed. Nearby trails connect the campground and lake with the Morrow County OHV Park, 8 mi away. Note: ATVs are only allowed at the dump station and in the north part of the campground (sites 25-28).   While this campground offers potable water, there is no garbage service so please pack out all garbage and dispose of it at home.

The place is beautiful and quiet. Deer were everywhere and allowed us to view them without being skittish. The hosts were awesome and friendly. Although the camp grounds have no hookups it’s still A1 on our list. The free wood delivered daily by the hosts was definitely a plus. We liked how the trails around the campground were paved so we could ride bikes.

I’m from South Africa and my wife is American, I loved camping in South Africa and this was my first time camping in the US. It was absolutely amazing! Restrooms and campgrounds are clean. The hosts are very friendly, they gave us firewood on the house. We hiked around the lake 3 times. I caught a fish and my wife was entertained by all the crawdads under the rocks. The only downside was that we were there only for one night!

Beautiful spot with lots of wildlife (nesting osprey, redwing blackbirds, frogs, deer). Bathrooms were very clean. Most attentive and helpful camp hosts I've ever encountered. Will be back.

Bull Prairie Campground was a hidden surprise! This was our first visit and it was 5 - star quality all the way around. The campsites are well spaced apart from each other with lots of trees for shade. The campground was quiet during the evening. The vault toilets were the cleanest we have ever seen anywhere. The campground hosts, Heather and Jody, take great pride in keeping them clean and well - stocked with air freshener, hand sanitizer, and toilet paper. The water is potable and is tested every month. Heather delivered free firewood to our campsite every night. She even stopped by with special treats for the kids; glow sticks, bubbles, and slime. She was very knowledgeable about the surrounding area and how to fish the lake. The road into Bull Prairie is completely paved. The path around the lake the paved with many spots to fish. This campground is amazing and you will want to make sure and go for yourself. The fishing was great too!.
