This is a large, beautiful campground. Super close to Crater late. Site K037 was nice for 2 people/1 tent. Itis away from the crowds, has ample shade and had access to the lake. The only con for us w as that it is a very small site and the tent spot wasn't quite as flat as we'd like at a developed campground.

This lake brings up great childhood memories and it was so fun to take my family and friends there this summer. Definitely recommend renting a boat. While there is a good swimming beach at the Diamond Lake resort, the lake is more "boatie than floatie".

A beautiful semi shady spot. Near the road, so some road noise when cars pass. Parking spot is has a bit of an incline so if you have a low profile vehicle it might scrape. No issues with a van.

Best place I’ve camped! The water was amazing, we loved paddle boarding around the lake! The trail around the lake is beautiful and well maintained. Quiet and peaceful place to camp

Amazing and beautiful campground!! We went when it was first come, first serve before reservations were available and it was quiet and mostly empty. Would highly recommend!

I almost bailed & left the first day because the new self-pay process was so frustrating and sketchy. Basically you need your smartphone – but the data reception was very slow & intermittent. The web site wasn't working very well. Once I got the recreation.gov app installed, things went a little smoother. (And supposedly that will let you set up a same-day reservation even without data.)
The showers are few and cramped and half of them don't work.
On the other hand, the location is awesome – and the price is very reasonable. So I'll probably be back.

Access to the lake at or space, K34, was good, and we were close to a water tap and the bathroom (flush toilets). If we knew the campground well, we may have selected a site with more shade. There's evidence of much cleanup; removal of (presumably dead) trees.
The picnic table was at an unusable tilt for cooking or meal preparation. It was difficult to find a level spot other than the tent footprint. for our grill & stove.

Diamond Lake is accessible via OR-138, which connects to US-97 and OR-62 within approximately 25 miles. From Klamath Falls or Bend, OR-138 can be reached via US-97.
