Nice, quiet lake with wonderful views and the lodge is a short walk or drive away. Super quiet and beautiful lake. We really enjoyed our 4 days here and plan to return! Loved it! Note there was a lot of algae in the lake (end of July) so swimming was ok but a bit limiting. Staff at the gate could be friendlier. They seem a bit put out to check you in or to answer questions. Kind of an attitude - bummer while we are on our vacation of the summer. :( The nearby lodge is a nice perk. They had boat rentals, good food (not so great service so patience is needed) and a good market. Market has basic camp supplies, beer and ice but not a lot of fresh foods. The only other bummer was our last day there an RV came who ran his generator all day (smell of diesel) and was loud. I guess nothing can be done about that other than "quiet hours" but a bummer on a quiet lake is the sound of the generator. Wish there could be a NO RV or generator area for those that want a quiet day.

We spent two nights in this campground. Campsite was clean,spacious and close to the lake. Excellent view to the lake and mountains. Toilet was close to campsite but they could be cleaned better.

We really enjoyed our stay at Diamond Lake. However, the reservation system is daunting. In February, we're hovering over our computers to hit "enter" at exactly the right time to book our favorite camping spots. So reserving is not fun, but the trip was.

Nice little campground! We stayed at site 38 and it was decent. Not much in terms of privacy, but it was fine since we camped in our van. Mosquitos were fairly thick (beginning of Aug) so make sure you bring bug spray. Showers are FREE and hot, and it was a great surprise to us. It gets really windy at times so make sure everything is well staked.

We stayed in site L005 for 2 nights in early August. The site was clean, level, and close to the water. We bike 12 miles around the whole lake one afternoon.

wow, where should I start? This is such a great camp. The site is well maintained and most campsites can see the beautiful lake. We woke up in the morning and can see the sun dance on the lake. When we eat dinner, we again can watch the sunset on the lake. Even the shower room faces a beautiful boat launch....
And most of the sites are secured with lots of trees and are distant from one another. We saw a group of young people (maybe more than 10) stay in the campsite next to ours and got nervous. It turns out their noise barely got to our site. We were really happy about the privacy.
And most sites are close to bathrooms.
Overall, a great experience. I have camped in several states. This one has been one of my best experiences.

Diamond Lake was beautiful. Convenient to Crater Lake National Park. All the toilet and shower facilities were clean. We enjoyed our stay therem

Beautiful campsite!

I am among a party of 15-20 persons who spend a week at Diamond Lake in August. My frustration and disappointment finally has me rating and providing feedback on Diamond Lake Campground, OR.
Our party stays in the F loop. For 15 years there has never been a painting nor fixture update in bathrooms.
The bathrooms are incredibly stinky. A toilet seat was replaced with the cheapest unit I've ever seen, where you'd have to be real careful when sitting down or you'd fall off the side.
In the men's restroom, the urinal had overflowed for several days and you had to carefully navigate around this to toilets. This is a health hazard.
The showers near F-loop are 8 units, of which only 4 were operable.
The water had been turned off at many faucet locations, forcing us to travel 100 yards to obtain camp water (yes, even at bathrooms the outside water sources were off)
Also, the showers are incredibly strong, having persons opting to not shower or ask a lodge reservation member for use. I even heard a child crying, with father, because the water pressure out of head was hurtful.
To set up trailer in our site I had to prune back footage of bushes.
This is unacceptable for a USDA USFS managed site.
