Lake access from the campground! Ours had stairs down to the campsite after a strenuous hike haha so be careful about booking if you want a drive in site. Wouldn’t change it though - direct lake access from the campsite.

Being next to the lake was wonderful with great views and sunsets. Round trip it's about a 5-6 mile walk to the Lodge and back to the campsite we were at, but with a cool beverage and snack at the lodge, it's doesn't seem that far. Or ride your bike, as the path is paved. Looking forward to our next trip to the lake.

A34 is NOT suitable for a 50' trailer and a 50' RV, as the description suggests. The pull through has a steep approach and exit, with tree root humps on the end. There is about 35' of flat surface for parking. It's called a double site, but not for 2 rvs unless they're small. And there is only 1 picnic table. Pad is narrow, so tricky to out the RV steps out and no room for the outside rug, so tracking lots of dirt in. Fine for us, just making readers aware. Also, there's a large bush between the pad and fire pit/picnic table on one end, so the person on that end has a bit of a hike to the fire pit and picnic table that are up the slope a bit.
Sites in A loop are farther apart than other loops and access to lake is decent. There are no pit toilets- only porta potties-or garbages though.

Posted instructions direct camper to find campsite, and then, return to entry ranger station check-in to access QR code on bulletin board to make reservation and payment.
You can eliminate return to entry station check-in if you have 2 cell phones: Before leaving entry check-in, take picture of QR code with one phone and when find campsite use second phone to access QR code and Recreation.gov account for payment.

Site A10 was big but on a literal hill no matter where our tents were placed we were sliding. Aside from that I lived the campground and all the amenities so close
