Diamond Lake

Great jump off point to Crater Lake. Good bike riding.

We loved this campground!!! There were wild flowers blooming everywhere, the bugs weren’t that bad, and one morning some otters swam by our campsite! The thing that was really great was that even though it is a very large campground there was still lots of space and privacy between sites. We were there during fourth of July and it wasn’t that crazy like other campgrounds we’ve been at. We also really loved being able to walk and get ice cream at night at the pizza place. This was our favorite campground this summer!

This would have been five star but the bathroom and water were not working and we had porta potties right across from us. This is a lakefront site but there isn’t a big open lake view because of the trees. I did love all the aspens and fireweed this campsite had. There is a very big tent area to the side that is pretty great!

We chose Diamond Lake as a stop-over on our way to the coast. We only stayed there over night. It is a beautiful campground and we were well rested for out ongoing trip the next day.

Great location to lots of good hiking and lake activities. The lake does not have a lot of spots to just swim from (small beaches for example) and it was pretty windy when we were there so we didn't paddle board. But not a huge issue for us as we found a spot we could swim. Mt Bailey and Mt Theilsen are nearby so great area for hiking. We had so much fun as we booked 3 campsites next to each other for my birthday. Lots of great amenities such as clean bathrooms, water spouts, and showers. There are a lot of people at this campground so the generators can be somewhat loud and the campsites are pretty much right next to the person's behind you. If you like super isolated campgrounds this one is maybe not for you. We enjoyed it because we weren't at the actual campsites much until the evenings. Bring bug spray!

It was wonderful but the bathrooms and water was not working in our loop/area.

With our group of 11 and 2 dogs, we drove 5 hours to a campsite far too small for two tents (k32). I'd recommend this site for a group with one tent and less than 6 people. However, the campground host was amazing and accommodating at such short notice.
There was one site open for our group, site g38. It was huge! It sat at the end of the loop, across the street with its own path to the lake where we stored our canoe, paddleboard, and kayaks. The kids had tons of room to ride their bikes too.
Firewood could be purchased at the pizza place which was all of 50ft away, however, their generator and flood lights made it difficult to enjoy a night on the lake. Permits and rentals were only a mile from camp at the resort. Restrooms and showers were very clean.
Campsites were relatively close to one another but the site next to us remained empty so I am unable to share any feedback.
Overall, this campground and experience was amazing and effortless. I would return to experience a lakefront site versus one next to hwy 138, but would recommend this campground regardless. Diamond Lake is beautiful!

Such a great spot M004. Near showers. Its not to close to the other campers. Right on the lake and close to dock. Our dogs loved it. We got lucky with the mosquitoes compared to last time. Will definitely want this spot again.

Clean park, drinking water available to fill up your tank, dump station, clean showers with extremely high water pressure (be careful of sensitive areas). Right on the lake with great views and lake access.
