The bathrooms run out of toilet paper and the showers have been neglected for years. Chipped wall tiles, soap scum everywhere, hair on the walls... Basically they need a rebuild and daily maintenance. Prices have gone up services have gone down. One of our sites had all the trees cut down and when we complained about the lack of shade the person at the office told us to run our air conditioner! Camp hosts are excellent and do their best to mitigate the problems but have very little support from the forest service. Our families have been going there for over 45 years and it is getting worse and worse each year, especially over the last 5-6 years. Don't want to give up on it yet but we hear quite a few complaints from other campers more and more every year. Sad to see this happening to such a beautiful area. They also made some sights double, drive-through and no longer allow senior discounts at those sites. Some of them are only long enough for 1 trailer/motor home and you have no option but to pay twice the price! Going to loose some long time customers if things don't change. And some of us come multiple times each summer for 1-2 weeks each visit which would be a long term loss for Diamond Lake... Not to mention what we spend at the store/rental center, pizza parlor, horse stables and gas station each year! Used to be our favorite place on earth... Not so much anymore...

Great campgrounds in and around C005. Very large and close to the showers, boat dock, garbage cans, etc. There's so much to do at Diamond Lake, from fishing, boating, horseback riding, store, restaurant, swimming, and much more.

Trailer site was not ideal so I was able to obtain another site for additional charge since it was a larger site. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Crater Lake National Park is very close for day trips, although it was not very scenic due to the smoke from forest fires this year. Diamond Lake has much to offer for recreation - boating, swimming, fishing and hiking.

Great place for all. Amenities are great. Location and sites are beautiful and spaced out well. Lake is not for watersport type play but great for swimming as speed limit for boats is 10mph, it keeps wakes minimal for shore play.

We had a great time despite the haze in the sky due to fires. First trip to Diamond Lake and Crater Lake. No cell service meant true camping and hanging out, connecting through conversation and fun activities. My only complaint/concern was the lake itself. One dock we found a sign that warned of a harmful poisonous algae but not posted on the dock we were using. And this after the kids had swam. We checked the alae blooms for Diamond Lake prior to camping. A notice of alae status included with your email reminders of reservations would help clarify.

Beautiful and large spot! Be prepared to have to come in the one way street the wrong way to get your trailer into the spot. Only complaint about this spot, that the driveway angle is wrong for the one way street.

The lake is beautiful, the campground is tired. The sites are very dusty with little grass. Makes it very dirty.
