Being next to the lake was wonderful with great views and sunsets. Round trip it's about a 5-6 mile walk to the Lodge and back to the campsite we were at, but with a cool beverage and snack at the lodge, it's doesn't seem that far. Or ride your bike, as the path is paved. Looking forward to our next trip to the lake.

A34 is NOT suitable for a 50' trailer and a 50' RV, as the description suggests. The pull through has a steep approach and exit, with tree root humps on the end. There is about 35' of flat surface for parking. It's called a double site, but not for 2 rvs unless they're small. And there is only 1 picnic table. Pad is narrow, so tricky to out the RV steps out and no room for the outside rug, so tracking lots of dirt in. Fine for us, just making readers aware. Also, there's a large bush between the pad and fire pit/picnic table on one end, so the person on that end has a bit of a hike to the fire pit and picnic table that are up the slope a bit.
Sites in A loop are farther apart than other loops and access to lake is decent. There are no pit toilets- only porta potties-or garbages though.

Staff and front gate were awesome. Friendly good info and easy to interact with.
The canp is amazing bathrooms clean but a bit run down could use a fresh coat of paint

Lake access from the campground! Ours had stairs down to the campsite after a strenuous hike haha so be careful about booking if you want a drive in site. Wouldn’t change it though - direct lake access from the campsite.

John was a great host! Friendly, Helpful, and Accommodating. The walkability from the campground to the Diamond Lake lodge/marina was a nice surprise. CG was clean and folks were friendly.

Wonderful family place to stay with children, nice bike trail around the lake, fun to go and get pizza or ice cream nearby, and 30 minutes to Crater Lake National Park...great location!
