We were fortunate to be able to get our pick of 4 open sites on an early August weekend - unusual for a lot of campgrounds.
Some sites are small and/or severely sloped, but we found one that fit our camper and truck perfectly.
The campground is well maintained, sites are separated well for privacy, and the showers provide plenty of hot water. Only issue was that a number of showers (both men’s and women’s) were not functional. But for $2 for a 10 min shower, no complaints.

Stayed at site A24 in Diamond Lake Loop in a 31' Class A Motorhome. Site was fairly level but we did have to use three pieces of 4x10 fir header under three of our auto-leveling jack stands. Large, beautiful area full of blooming Fireweed right alongside site. Filtered views of the lake - sunny most of the day in early August. Bit of a walk to either restrooms or water spigots, if needed.

We are very happy coming back year after year. The camp sites are great, although there are usually only 1-2 areas that are flat for tents. Most campers don't seem bothered by this. The location is perfect. The people we meet are friendly. It's a wonderful combination of wilderness camping with amenities such as a warm shower and flush toilets.

Returned to the same campsite as last year only to find it completely ruined by tree-removal contractors. The area was reduced to a dust bowl, and the contractors left massive piles of dry branches and brush behind. We were able to build large fires every single night for two weeks just by clearing the debris ourselves. Looking around, I noted branches and brush cuttings everywhere, not just our site—a massive wildfire hazard that would cause a fire to spread rapidly through this campground. The nearby bathroom was closed for two days for an automatic flush upgrade, during which the fish cleaning station only had one out of five lights working. The systemic management of these campgrounds is terrible. The Forest Service should be ashamed of how this public land is being maintained.

Site L9 is an excellent waterfront site right on the water with a view of 90% of the lake. Swimming is good but it's pretty rocky near the shore. Site is small, but there is room for 2 medium sized tents. The pull through driveway is large enough for a large RV plus a couple of cars, however you have to navigate the U-turn witch may be difficult for RV's larger than 26'. The large trees in the site photo have been cut down, so there is absolutely no shade. It was 85 every day we were there and it felt very hot. The site next to us had shade and felt 20 deg. cooler. Overall an excellent site, if you can stand the heat.

None of the campsite sites were flat. Showers were clean but only about 2 worked. Restrooms were clean and at an easy access to the campsites.

Very close to the road, sites are close together, lake access can be difficult, many sites on a pretty severe slope.
