Diamond Lake is great. You can swim paddle board or boat, plus ride your bike on a lovely, flat trail all around the lake! What a gem of a place to find! Big campsites too.

There's a lack of parking in the sites that state 2 vehicles and up to 8 people allowed. In most of the sites there's only room for 1 vehicle if you have an RV. This causes you to have to park in the overflow parking areas: not ideal or desirable. We'd give it 5 stars except for the sites being too small/crowded for 8 people and 2 vehicles. The campsite patrol is a bit overly intrusive too. Other than those 2 issues, it was nice. The lake is beautiful and the bike trail around the lake was fun.

Was told nearly every day we were there that “tonight” would be the last night for camp fires, and tomorrow it would be banned. I actually asked specifically as we were checking in because of the “EXTREME FIRE DANGER “ signage on the side of the road. I was fine without a fire, but was confusing. Also, with all of the money spent by campers, and the requested donations for a shower, I think it’s time for them to spruce up, or at least repair and clean the showers and rest rooms.

Beautiful and quiet campground pretty close to Crater Lake. Lake was gorgeous. Facilities are good with hot showers open 24hrs and on donation basis. They are not well maintained but considering the circumstances it was ok. Bike Path is super cool and it leads to neighboring RV campground that has a restaurant and an overpriced shop. Not much food options there. Buy from The National park store they have sandwiches and salads and water.

This site was large. It had a lot of logs that could easily roll down hill into other campers. A bit of a hazard.
Very close to the road....
Diamond Lake is a Gem and is worth the trip every time.

A lovely campground and super Lake for swimming. A bit windy in the afternoons but calm nights. Mosquitoes were not a problem for us. Lakefront loops beware the afternoon sun.. bring a canopy or find a site with lots of trees. We will definitely return!

The camp hostess was extremely wonderful to talk to. She checked in with us about fire safety, explained why we couldn’t have fire. Our site was secluded and very clean.

Diamond Lake is accessible via OR-138, which connects to US-97 and OR-62 within approximately 25 miles. From Klamath Falls or Bend, OR-138 can be reached via US-97.
