Diamond Lake Campground offers a beautiful and scenic location with well-maintained facilities, including clean bathrooms and showers. The campground is, as always, great. However, it's clear that the USDA has put too little effort into basic maintenance the last few years. Some bathrooms out of order for a couple of years straight, water faucets are red-tagged but not repaired yet from last year, men's showers with all the handles stolen but never replaced with something that can't be stolen, roofing shingles falling on the ground from weathering but no sign of repairs...Perhaps for the cost of canning one high-paid exec you could hire a couple of repairmen with basic plumbing and roofing skills? The camp host is doing his best, but he isn't the repair crew.

“C” loop is excellent; large sites and excellent for multi-family gatherings. Shower facility and boat ramp are close by. The camp host is exceptionally helpful and personable. Only drawback is the scarce days & hours for staff at the camp entrance gatehouse.

We enjoyed our time on the lake there. Beautiful views. Hot showers. Seemed like most of the campers were good about keeping things clean and that helps for nice atmosphere with clean bathrooms and the showers were nice too. It is hard to get a reservation, but it is a great place to camp and fish.

Stayed in L loop at site # 6. Had a beautiful view of the lake. Was pretty buggy as it got cooler/darker at night. The site did not have a tent pad but we were able to find a relatively flat spot for a tent. Drive in area was a pull thru spot that could fit a trailer, boat or another car easily. bathrooms were a little walk from the site but the closest bathrooms had showers which was nice.

Really sad in the G loop that we were stuck with porta potties that stunk horribly. We have stayed at Diamond for years a group of us and like that they have flushing toilets and showers. But that set back we enjoyed our time.

Campsite was spacious and had a great view of the lake. Make sure you have your campsite number memorized or written down as there is no cell service and no one at the camp office. Bathrooms were clean which was probably due to minimal use as there were no lights in the bathrooms so bring a light source.
