My husband and I had a great time camping here over labor day weekend. The campsites were very spacious, but you could still see clearly into 3-4 other campsites. It didn't bother us too much, but noise could definitely be an issue if there were disrespectful neighbors. The best part about this campground is that it has access to a bike trail that goes all the way around the lake. It takes 2-3 hours and is probably the most beautiful bike path I've ever been on (easy ride, no big hills). Seriously, if you visit this campground, you have to do it!

Great spaces, great views, mostly easy reservations process! Big family get together each year and we love this location for everyone from the 2 year olds to the grammas! We kayak and swim off the dock and usually buzz over and rent a pontoon from the lodge for a day!

We read several reviews and decided to give it a try. We booked for a week. The Campground was all soft, fluffy dirt. Dirt flew everywhere. Not impressed at first sight. The mosquitoes were the worst ever! We thought we were prepared. We brought everything possible for mosquito repellent. From sprays, wrist bands to candles. Nothing worked. You woke up to mosquitos and the only time you had peace was around 9pm at night when they would go away. They ate through our clothes. We tented it and of course they got in there as well. To top if off, anytime you had food there were these tiny little black Nat's that devoured your food. We were eating in our tents and vehicles. The bathrooms were awful. When talking to the camp hosts they informed us they cleaned them out once a year! Yikes! We noticed that those that did bring trailers, they stayed in them all the time. The only relief we got was to go to the Resort and rented a boat for the day. On the 3rd morning we could not take it anymore. Everyone was eaten alive. We worried we were going to have to take our oldest grand daughter to the ER from so many bites. We all wore hoodie sweatshirts and only our faces (eyes, nose and mouth) were sticking out. Ha ha! What a site. So we packed it up and headed our 3 hour journey home. What a huge disappointment. We even called before we came and they told us the worst of mosquito season was gone. If you have a RV/trailer- that's recommended. But why camp if you have to stay secluded all day? I would never tent it there, EVER! The only escape is to hang out at the Resort everyday. The only positive thing I can say is, the camp host was amazing. Very nice sweet man ;) Everyone has a camping story and this one by far will never be forgotten. I share this so you don't waste all that money like we did. We camped the Month of August 2019. There were 7 of us with 2 campsites. Happy Camping!!!
