Shotgun Creek Recreational Park has been my family’s favorite place for many years, and we absolutely love this park! This is the first time that I finally got to rent gazebo #1 and do a large family event for my Moms 70th birthday. Everything things was amazing. It was a beautiful day and there was hiking and swimming and playground and a volleyball net. We did a huge BBQ with many food items. I’m wanting to rent the gazebo when we can do a big fire in the fireplace! Thank you!

I was very disappointed to get there and see that the grounds were not taken care of. The grass wasn't mowed. The little creek Like ditch by the shelter so over grown you couldn't even see it. The bathrooms not working. I grew up going to Shotgun park and it was so sad to see it in this condition.

Such a gorgeous place!! It’s so well taken care of! I love there are trash cans in the sheltered areas. I also got a call before my reservation time to go over some things about my upcoming reservation, which I thought was so kind and thoughtful!! This is my second time having an event here and I will definitely have many more! Thank you all for your hard work!!

Exceptional experience in all respects. Easy to book months early, many questions along the way . I inquired at local office and got a response at worst the next day. Everyone was super friendly. In particular our park ranger, James, was outstanding. Came early and was a constant help. If I had more stars to rate, I would!!!

Amazing. Serene, uncrowded, and the shelters are clean and well equipped. Wouldn’t hesitate to have a group from 10 to 100 here.

From the North
- Take Interstate 5 south, exit 216, OR-228 towards Brownsville/Crawfordsville. Turn right on Bush Creek Road just east of Crawfordsville. Drive 12.4 miles on Bush Creek Road that turns into Marcola Road. Turn right just past the community of Mabel onto Shotgun Creek Road. Follow Shotgun Creek Road approximately 1.5 miles. The recreation site is located on the right side of the road.
From the South
- Take Interstate 5 north, exit 194A, OR-126 E towards Springfield. Travel 4 miles east to the 42nd St/Marcola exit and follow the signs to Marcola driving for about 13.3 miles until it intersects the Shotgun Creek Road (first paved road on the left). Follow Shotgun Creek Road approximately 1.5 miles. The recreation site is located on the right side of the road.

4.9 mi drive to downtown Marcola (about 7 min)
