Ochoco Lake County Park offers a beautiful setting for camping and fishing, with well-maintained facilities and friendly hosts. Visitors enjoyed great fishing opportunities, though swimming was not possible due to harmful blue-green algae. Overall, it is recommended as a lovely spot for outdoor activities, with an emphasis on environmental care.

My boys and I had a great time, we camped and fished Labor Day weekend.
Fishing was great lots of bites, unfortunately we couldn't swim do to Cyanobacteria (blue-green algae) actively endangering people specially children & pets. Please be mindful of cleaning your boat, kayak, paddle board or anything you put in the water before taking it to another body of water to avoid spreading this algae.
Keep exploring & let's take care of our lakes rivers and parks.

Quite a gem! The area is beautiful. My experience in the campground was fantastic. Clean and well maintained. The host was very nice. I would definitely recommend this place. The reservoir is nice to have a fun time fishing and kayaking and more!

It was peaceful, but algae bloom warnings said to stay out of water. There were flies throughout the park and even near the parking lot. The entire place had a foul smell, and the flies swarmed near the locked outhouses (closed for maintenance). I smelled it as soon as I got out of the car in the parking lot. It's beautiful, but I recommend going when the bathrooms have been fixed. The flies and smell take away a lot of the enjoyment of fresh air.

Nicely kept camp ground. Very clean bathrooms, no runing water, and sites. It appears the lake has tried up 1/2 way. The noise from the hwy is clearly heard. Encountered birds, chipmunks, fish and a snake cooling itself in the water all while exploring the site.

Wonderful day paddle boarding & kayaking. I got there about 9am and parked right up front. Easy walk down and to the lake side. Some of the gound was a little mushy but not to bad. The water was amazing and Soo peaceful. Little baby bass kept following the shadow of my paddle board. Lots of birds to check out too.
