Hosts were wonderful and the fishing was great. The pair of nesting bald eagles were awesome to watch. We will return.

Walton Lake is a beloved camping destination known for its beautiful scenery, clean facilities, and friendly camp hosts, Tony and Karen, who provide excellent service. Visitors appreciate the fishing opportunities, wildlife observation, and well-maintained trails around the lake, making it a perfect spot for families and nature lovers. While some faced challenges due to smoke from nearby wildfires and water issues, overall experiences are positive, with many planning to return for future visits.

This was my first dry RV camping trip & it was fantastic. The lake and abundant wildlife was beautiful. The hosts are great. The facilities were the best I have ever experienced with vaulted toilets, clean & no smell. The hosts could be seen constantly riding around the sites to make sure the rules were enforced. We would definitely camp there again.

This was the most bird activity I’ve heard in one spot in a long time. The fish were jumping like crazy and we saw two bald eagles. We booked site 30 and had a great time car camping!

I took my 10-year-old granddaughter and 5-year-old grandson. We had a wonderful time. We camped in a tent in space 20. The bathrooms were clean with plenty of toilet paper. There was a water source which was a little tricky to find. At first I was trying to pump water out of the camp host area which I'm sure they didn't appreciate. Fyi..its not the blue handled spigot you are looking for. You are looking for the wooden box. My granddaughter caught her first three fish. We played with tadpoles and water snakes had a campfire. There was a bald eagles and a nest and a babies it was a small peaceful beautiful quiet time. It felt very safe....safe enough for the kids to go walking around the trail by themselves around the lake. The only thing that threw me off was the hike I had to do between my car and the campsite. It was an incline and I'm a grandma and it was a little rough. I also over packed because it was my first camping trip of the season so some of that was my own fault. next time I would pick a different campsite even though I like the privacy of space 20. If I was camping alone where I could just carry a backpack full of stuff I would pick that same spot again. If you're lugging stuff and you don't have some muscle with you you might want to pick another spot. Tent campers were on one side of the lake RV campers on the other side of the lake. I can't wait to go back again it was really fun and easy to find. No cell reception. They do sell firewood four good sized pieces for $8...however I brought my own. There is some firewood that you could use scattered about but I wouldn't rely on it. I did bring home a tick so be mindful of that. There weren't any late night parties... it was very respectful. I did camp on weekdays so that might be part of it. The people were friendly and I noticed the camp host interacting with people and making routine drives around the park. They were not intrusive in any way.
