One of our favorite campgrounds! The forest turns into sand dunes magnificently. It’s beautiful and unique.

Having a great time here at Eel Creek. Visited the Botanical Gardens at the South Beach State Park, tide pools and viewing seals out on the rocks. We have a wonderful camp host here and he has been full of tips as to what to go and see. Rick, the camp host introduced us to crab off the coast here which was so delicious. Rick goes above and beyond as far as hosting and keeping the restrooms clean.

Always well stocked bathrooms! Camp host cleans them everyday . Rick is by far one of the best camp hosts I have had the experience of meeting!

The campground is in an excellent location and has access to miles of amazing vehicle-free sand dunes including the John Dellenback Dunes Trail which is two miles of dunes and through a forest connecting to the beach. Wow! Given the two miles and no vehicles, when I went I practically had the entire area to myself. Wonderful experience.
The campsite I had - Site 19 - was one of the best I’ve had in a campground. Very separate, wonderful tree coverage, secluded areas, no one behind me and ample space for my 30’ 5th wheel and truck. It is a pull through site but does not have the room to pull a large trailer through - I needed to back in my trailer. No problem. Again, a wonderful location and campground.

I love this campground and so does my dog. The campsites are spaced nicely apart. I love the surrounding nature where the forest meets the beach. We especially like the pull thru sites, great space to share with a friend. The grounds are well kept and the restrooms are clean and stocked. The camp host Rick is super, so nice and willing to help you with questions or in need of information and we love his sidekick Minnie. It's a great central location to go from to visit other areas and sites.

This is a quiet campground in the dunes area. No ATVs are allowed in or around the campground.

Very quiet despite being right off the highway! Most spots have a fair amount of privacy too!

From Reedsport, Oregon travel south for 10 miles to Eel Creek Campground. The campground entrance is located on the right (west) side of Highway 101 near mile post 222.

General
- Guidelines for a safe visit to the Siuslaw National ForestThe Siuslaw’s campgrounds, day use areas, and trails continue to be open for public enjoyment. While you are visiting the Forest, please adhere to the following guidelines. These guidelines will help ensure a safe and healthy visit for you and your family, our employees and volunteers, and other visitors: Please keep in mind that restrooms are generally cleaned and disinfected at least once daily at the more popular campgrounds and day use sites, and once to three times a week at other sites.Be prepared to provide your own soap, sanitizer, or disinfectant.If no trash receptacle is provided, please protect your public lands by packing out your waste and trash.
- Forest Service-operated campsites on the Siuslaw National Forest are currently available by online reservation only. Visitors can make reservations online through this website (preferred), or via phone by calling the recreation.gov phone line at 877-444-6777. If you call this number, please be prepared for longer-than-usual wait times. Please note that the Siuslaw National Forest does not have any control over the recreation.gov phone line, so we ask you to please prepare by making reservations well in advance.
- There is a 14-day in 30 rolling days camping limit on the Siuslaw National Forest. The 14 days does not have to be consecutive. The 14-day limit covers the entire Siuslaw National Forest and not just this campground as shown in the Rules Section. This means you cannot go to other campgrounds on the Siuslaw National Forest after reaching the 14-day limit.
- No RV hookups available in this campground
- Sites must occupied within first 24 hours of arrival time. Otherwise unoccupied sites will be considered a "no-show" and will be released.

- Don't Move Firewood: Please protect Pacific Northwest forests by preventing the spread of invasive species. Firewood can carry insects and diseases that can threaten the health of our western forests. You can make a difference by obtaining and burning your firewood near your camping destination. - There is a 2 vehicle limit per campsite
- This campground is located in close proximity to multiple lakes and wetlands. Due to this, there can be an abundance of mosquitoes between the months of April and August. Please be prepared for this.
