Campsites are beautiful and spacious. Dune trail is awesome. Ladies bathroom super clean, men’s bathroom, less so. Quiet on weekdays, a zoo on weekends.

Overall, an adequate experience. I was disappointed that I was unable to fill the water tank on my RV even though there was water available in the campground. The spigots had signs forbidding it and the spigots did not allow for a water hose to be attached. Also, the picnic table was severely rotted which made its surface pretty unusable.

This charming campground is on the edge of some dunes with plenty of space for each site. It has been open through the winter of 2021-22, so right in our range from home for an overnight.

Online registration is required. We found cell service at the campground, so it was possible to register after our arrival by calling recreation.gov at (877) 444-6777. The number was listed on the posts for each campsite.

We loved the campsite and proximity to the dunes for walking. We especially liked the absence of ATV's. The site was very clean, forested and quiet. In fact there were very few campers. We were distressed by the fact that we were required to reserve the campsite for three nights instead of just one night. Because it was late and we were tired, we paid for three nights, instead of trying to find another campground. We left the next day. What is the reasoning behind the requirement?

Campground was in disarray. Most of the water spigots have been removed. My fire pit was full of trash wood & plastic. I love the area dearly but expecting people to pay the forest service for providing not even campground basics is not sustainable

Eel Creek is a great little campground good for tents/trailer camping. Near the dunes and Eel Lake and Ten Mile Lake as well! Also, if you forgot something. Lakeside is close with McKays Market!
