What Guests Are Saying
Tyee Campground is a well-maintained, beautiful site with clean facilities and friendly camp hosts, making it a pleasant place for families and outdoor activities. The campground offers good access to the Umpqua River, with spacious sites and walking trails, although some areas can be quite noisy due to nearby highway and logging traffic. While most campers enjoyed their stay, concerns were raised about odors from vault toilets and close quarters between campsites.

campsite only by reservation. I arrived and they had open sites and was a real pain to stand in parking lot next to camphost and log in on my phone and reserve. Should be able just pay the camphost. especially since it was off season mid week and there were open sites.
But the campground and host were great.

This campground was in a beautiful, remote location with river access. Would definitely recommend staying here in the summer time!

Checked in at 8:00 p.m. on a week night in January. One other camper in about a dozen sites. Vehicle did not work well in site, so asked camp host if it would be alright to move to another non-reserved site for the night. Camp host obviously annoyed and agitated with request. Accepted site and apologized for bothering him. Camp host remained agitated. Made do with what I had in a nearly empty campground.
He could have been a bit more reasonable. He at least could have been nicer - he's a host, not a warden.

Right on the river and the sites are well maintained and shed water well!

We had a great stay at Tyee Campground. The bathrooms were very clean and the campsite was quiet. Would stay there again. On a side note, there isn't any Verizon phone service at the campsite.
