Alder Glen Recreation Site offers a beautiful and peaceful camping experience alongside the Nestucca River, with well-maintained facilities and a variety of activities such as fishing and hiking. Many campers appreciate the quiet atmosphere and natural surroundings, making it a preferred spot for repeat visits. However, some guests noted issues with restroom supplies and payment confusion, suggesting improvements in those areas.

Nice quiet little campsite, super thankful it was open during Elk season! River is nice and loud so it kind of drowns out people around you. Do your research ahead of time, site one can fit a 30 ft trailer, some can fit smaller and some can only fit tents.

We have stayed here with friends the same weekend for three summers in a row and we love it. The area is always quiet, the amount of traffic is pretty low, the sound of the river is soothing. We enjoy hiking, playing in the water, catching crayfish, exploring the woods, and best of all, being left alone as there's no cell reception! We intend to keep coming here each summer.

Quiet place, right on the river. Campsite was clean and sheltered from the road.

Lovely well maintained campsite alongside the Nestucca River. We weren't there to fish, but it would be a perfect location to do so. Within a 1/2 hour drive to the coast, relatively quiet but very close to the road with some truck traffic. 2 pit toilets and a potable water supply that may not be available in colder months. Picnic tables, and first come first serve sites available. Would stay here again.

Loved this location. River was beautiful and full of life. Really disappointing neighboring campers who had a campfire during a ban. And their dogs went number 2 on our site and my kid stepped in it. But that’s not the campsite’s fault. I’d definitely come back again.

Alder Glen Campground is an idyllic spot on one of the most beautiful stretches or Oregon forest and river you'll find. My friends and I rode in on our bikes on our way back from the coast and it was a welcome site indeed! We soaked our tired legs in the pristine water and later played cards at our camp spot with the evening sun filtering through the trees and birds chirping all around. Even being right next to Nestucca River Road, there was so little car traffic, we barely noticed. There was no potable water on site at the time, so we were glad to have our water filter. Pit toilets were clean and all the camp spots looked well-maintained. We will definitely be going back there!

Showed up for our reservation that we made months in advance. Our site was occupied by someone who paid in the box on site. They wouldn't leave and we had to go elsewhere.
