I stayed one night on my way through from Salem to Moscow, ID. I do this trip often and like to stop midway for a night. This is the best most secure rv park I've stayed in. Quiet neighborhood extremely clean level rv sites. The utilities are brand new and easy to connect with. There is no public bathroom or showers but I don't ever use those anyway. There's wifi and good cell coverage. I recommend this place for long and short term rv camping.

Had to move here from Columbia Hills State Park when we got evacuated due to a fire. Paid for 2 nights but luckly got to move back to the park the next afternoon. Park seemed clean. No on site bathrooms, but all sites have full hookups. Neighborhood seemed a little sketchy and loud. Have a 30 foot trailer a pickup truck, just enough room to squeeze between our truck and the neighboring rv once parked. Garden boxes in each site a nice touch but it takes up the only outdoor space you have. Not a place to spend time or cook outside, the spots are just big enough to park minus maybe 4 spots on the corners by the grass areas. At $170 for 2 nights it was a bit spendy for a parking spot.

Fair price for long term staying, We stayed for 2 weeks. Place is clean. No problem with hook ups. One con is some of the long term tenants let their dogs run without leashes.

Cons: 1) Bad neighborhood and not safe to walk dogs, 2) roosters and dogs going off all night, 3) my water spigot was missing the adapter so I had to pull one off of another campsite, 4) multiple people are there living long term and going in and out of their RV’s throughout the night, slamming doors and being carelessly loud, 5) small pieces of trash scattered everywhere, 6) dog poops not picked up and everywhere, 7) the folks living there have junk scattered around and treat their driveway like a mechanic shop or storage unit.

Pros: 1) has operable dump, water and electricity, 2) virtual host is responsive via text or call, 3) close to restaurants in town.

For $70/night I expected much better, we will not be staying here again.

On October 14, 2025, we had an emergency with our truck that was pulling our 5th wheel on our way to Pacific City. We had to stay at The Dalles so the Chevy dealer (Tonkin) could repair it. We needed a place to stay without reservations. Chris was kind enough to find a spot for us at Chinook RV Park while the truck was being repaired. We stayed two nights with a late checkout on day three which Chris didn't charge us for. Very clean little spot. Other campers were quiet and Chris was always available if we needed anything. Highly recommend.
