This place is pristine and private. Friendly locals. Bring bug spray, trash bags (pack it all in!) and toilet paper. Our bathroom was out of toilet paper completely. If you’re coming to fish, please clean up after yourself to prevent wildlife from coming too close to the campsites and reduce trash. This place is beautiful and peaceful and I’m sure we all want to keep it that way!

Campground was nice, although the website could use better photos and descriptions of the actual campsites. Main negative issue was the fact that we had made reservations for our three night stay, and when we arrived, the site was already taken. With no campground host on the property, we ended up finding a site that wasn’t being used and hoping that someone hadn’t reserved it. The folks that took our reserved site were still in place when. We left.

Beautiful place to camp, lake was awesome. Unknowing until we pulled up that our spot is just on the road and you walk down a few stairs into the camp spot. Not a pull in camping spot like “normal”. Super dusty when cars drive by. Pretty place but probably would not camp in this area next time.

I reserved my spot. Showed up. Some guy and his family in the spot. They refused to move. 6 hour drive to meet a A hole. This seems to be a common occurrence.

Very remote. Beautiful. Great location. Lake is nice. Fishing was good. A few years ago this was a near perfect spot. A little run down, but still nice. My only gripe is why make a reservation, a guy and his family were in mine. Refused to move. So I found a new spot. Not as nice as the one I reserved and paid for. This seems to be the normal. No host, no law enforcement, no forest service, and no cell service. I even complained to the forest service, there answer no refunds. I was not asking for one, but to not even care or try to get the free loader to pay. They wanted nothing to do with it. This seems to be a common problem, people stealing others reservations and the Forest Service not caring or enforcing their own rules. Unfortunately this will result in some kind of altercation eventually. Beware of reservation thieves, because your ob your own. Six and a half hours drive to meet an A hole.

From Ukiah, OR travel south to County Road 1475 (turns into Forest Service Road 52 after 5 mi). Go about 48.5 mi to the town of Granite. Instead of entering the town, turn right onto County Road 24/Forest Service Road (FSR) 10 and travel about 3.5 mi to the end of the pavement. Follow the gravel road up to the right (FSR 10). Travel about 9 mi on FSR 10. Turn right on FSR 1000480 and travel about 1/4 mi into the campground.
