I went to relax and enjoy the beach. Even though it was cloudy and rained part of the time it was a relaxing stay.

Nice little campground on the coast! We had space 32, which was a good mixture of trees and a peekaboo view of the ocean, with room to put a screened cover over the picnic table area and still sit by the fire.
The water spigot was very high pressure, and we weren’t hooking up a hose, so it would get us wet trying to use it, but not a big deal. If there were showers available this would be a 5 star campground for me. The spots vary in size, views, and privacy, but generally a great option near Yachats!

This campground does not allow site switching. I tried to reserve #26 online for 2 nights, but could not, so I reserved another for our second night. When we arrived, we learned our second site had no view. The campground was nearly empty, so I planned to move. The site we wanted was available, and a sign wsd posted that the site was reservable. I attempted to change sites on recreation.gov, and it appeared to work, but I got no confirmation. No one was available at the camp manager’s office. Maintenance crew said we could not switch sites online. I checked on the website, and the site I wanted was listed as first-come, first-served, even though it was posted as reservable. Again, my confirmation stated we could not simply switch sites, even in a nearly empty campground. It was too late to cancel the site we no longer wanted. In the end, we forfeited the less appealing site, and paid again for the site we wanted using manual registration. I hope the campground puts the extra $32 to good use. I wish the process was more transparent, consistent, and reasonable. Also, given the high wind in the area, they need a more secure way to affix reservation signage. It was difficult to tell which sites had actually been claimed because of signs blown askew. All that aside, it’s a great location, clean, and with good quality water. Several spots have wide views of the ocean.

Great campground and awesome sites! My site has level spot for my trailer with a beautiful private overlook. Bathrooms were clean and supplied. :) This is my second time to camp in this site. We love it and will be back again :)
