Hosts were kind and did a great job of maintaining the campground. My favorite campground at the coast!

The site had quite a slope so we asked if we could switch to one of the other 2 night sites (it was the end of Oct and the park was almost empty). We were told the forest service doesn't allow that. Since they do not have an RV dump station I asked the host where I could find one. She said she was new to the area and didn't know. Seriously, if you are hosting an RV park, shouldn't this information be supplied to you by the forest service? Then, on our last night our power kept tripping off. We paid $8 / day for electricity - you'd think they could keep it on. We went to the host who said he didn't know who he would even call for that. The beach there was beautiful but I would NEVER stay there again in an RV. If you are tent camping - do it. Oh, and when you make a reservation, when it asks about your RV length - that includes your tow vehicle.
So RV length is really Total Length.

The host was a bit awkward. I arrived a day early and paid for that with an envelope/check at the entrance to the campground. I was able to get the spot which I had reserved for the following 3 nights. The first night was fine. However, the next morning the host knocked on the door and stated he had not received my payment for the first night. I had the receipt hanging on my rear view mirror and was happy to show him. He then stated he knew why he was mistaken. Anyway, later that day he knocked on the door again and said I needed to move from the spot as it was reserved that night. I explained to him that I was the one who reserved it and had come in a day early. Then, later that evening, after dark he knocked again and said that my boyfriend's truck (which was parked facing my motorhome the entire time) had to be turned around in case of an evacuation. I found it odd that he had not mentioned this sooner. Needless to say, he came to the door 4 times which I thought was weird. I had never been disturbed in the past years I have been coming to this campground. Maybe this is a new host???

It's always wonderful to be at the beach. We have been to Tillicum many times, but not for about 2 years. It was nice to see that it is being well maintained
