The location is very nice! We enjoyed staying in this Camp Ground. The bathrooms are in serious need of updating. I wanted to take a shower to save my grey tank, but didn’t feel comfortable doing so. Too outdated. Minor issue our fire ring was full we shared with our neighbor. We will stay here again.

The campsite was nice and spacious, more open spaces, not much shade. The bathrooms were recently opened after flooding, however, despite them operable, they certainly need updates. I didn't want to shower there. The grounds are well taken care of. Myself and the dogs had nice walks along the sea wall and the hiking trail. Our neighboring camper said they come quite often and the fishing is great. They went fishing everyday and spent the afternoon cleaning their fish. There is no gated entrance or ranger check-in, therefore, it doesn't feel as secure as other parks we have stayed. One morning, walking through the parking lot at the far side, I came across several beer cans, 1 boot and condoms on the ground. I'm sure someone had found a party the night before. Anyway, overall the experience was good. Not sure I would return but would use it to stay along my route toward another destination. About 15 miles south, on Rt 17, try SeeWee restaurant. It's a little shack with amazing seafood and unique ambiance. I have been there several times now!!!

My family loves camping at Buck Hall in our RV but they really need to invest some money in this gem!. There are only 14 spots so getting a reservation is difficult. There appears to be ample acreage to expand to double or triple the size and there is enough space between most of the sites to add another site without being crowded. The water connection on our site dispensed water loaded with sand. Luckily I had a filter that clogged up immediately keeping the sand out of my water system. The problem was solved by using a v valve and connection to my neighbors spigot. The Ranger said the pipes are old and this one probably had a hole in it. I also wish electric golf carts were allowed. Bath houses are ok but very old and not climate controlled. Sand gnats or no seeums will eat you alive during spring and fall seasons. The boat landing is good but the parking lot is small and overflows during peak periods - again there appears ample acreage to expand.

For the month of January, the weather was nice, little breezy, not terribly cold. Nice quiet place to relax and enjoy. Away from the crowds and just you and nature. Looking forward to going again.

Beautiful area, spacious, clean, great time of year. We spent Christmas thru New year and enjoyed the time. We rode bikes, walked our dogs and visited with neighbors. Will do it again!
