We stayed here for 4 weeks and it was so relaxing. The bath houses are cleaned often, the front desk texts you to make sure you are doing OK and we were Beach front (20 steps). It was a perfect location to start our full-time RV Living. They have a pool, mini mart, laundry and mini golfing. They also have a rotating food truck. If you are looking for Beach front, this is your place!

Went down mid-september and really enjoyed it. It is the same entrance as Pirateland. Google seems to freak a little because of that. We had a pull through on market street one spot from the end, site859. The site had a concrete pad and was nice.Great location. Getting into the site was a little tight with my 40ft fifth wheel. The putt putt course needs some work. We will be back. Carolina Shores seems to own most of everything north of market street or about 60% of Pirate land as I easy told. A lot of the roads have fresh asphalt and they are replacing a lot of the shelters. Also, they are building a new indoor pool.

Brought our camper & stayed here for the first time,
I booked beach front and its not even 20 steps out our camper, it’s been so nice and quiet. My husband, boys & I have really enjoyed it.
It’s very quiet and relaxing.
The ladies at the front office do text you asking if you have any questions, making sure your campsite is up to par also will send help if you need help.
We will come back & stay again.

Our first time here. We were s little concerned when we drove in and realized it was the old Pirateland campground. We stayed on the beach side (Deluxe site) and couldn't have been more pleased. The spaces were roomy. Neighbors were friendly. Bath house looked newly renovated as well as some of the wooden shelters that covered the picnic table. New signage around indicating Carolina Shores had recently taken ownership. We found the entertainment, food options and location were perfect for us.

Our only complaint was that the main access to the Dog Park was unavailable. We had to go way around through some of the permanent sites to finally get in.

Staff were very nice and helpful. Bathrooms were OK. The patrons were unruly, loud, and EVERYWHERE. This was a very busy and very crowded RV park where the people and RVs were packed in like sardines. We were fortunate in that we booked an elite RV site because parking our 32 ft motorhome at a standard sites would have been a challenge. It was difficult to walk our dogs because of the narrow roads and our dogs ate dropped food left on the side of the road multiple times. Some reviews say great for family fun, but I would not take my family here. Multiple people driving around in their golf carts blaring music with inappropriate lyrics. People playing music at high volume ALL DAY. Ground vibrating from ridiculous bass settings. The smell of marijuana was not uncommon. We booked two nights but left after one. Luckily, we were able to go to a quieter RV park 15 minutes away. If you like partying and other people’s loud music from 9am-11pm and don’t mind seeing toddlers and babies in golf carts getting their ears blown out. Then this is the place for you.
