Basecamp Jocassee

A GREAT PLACE TO GO AND HAVE PLEANTY OF FUN WITH THE FAMILY SO MANY THINGS TO DO

Stayed here for a few months, very nice, quiet campground!

Be careful using Waze or Google maps it may take you to the wrong place the best way to get in is... take Fall Creek road off of SC 11 then turn right on Jess Crenshaw Rd(ignore the sign that says no big trucks that was for before they put in new culvert pipes we are 50,000 lbs and had no problem) at the stop sign take a left onto Bennettsville rd then you will be turning left onto Shallowford Rd the campground is on left on Shallowford View Drive The reason I am giving directions is because we listened to GPS and came in at the wrong angle and it was very bad I have posted pictures of the entrance to show what I mean (well I tried to post more pictures but I seem to be having a problem)
Outstanding place for us as you can see there is a gate plus there are nice big lots we are 45 ft. I do have to say there are no amenities so you have to be self contained. However the price is right you can get weekly or monthly discounts also the water pressure is great and with the size we are and voltage we pull we sometimes have problems with breakers tripping so we have to be aware with what we run here that is definitely not a problem! The view is beautiful and a big plus very quiet. We are full-time and our coach and this is one has been one of our favorites. There is so much to do in the area we will definitely be back.
