This is the best camping trip I have ever been on. The place was clean, the staff was so helpful in removing trash. It is exactly what we wanted. Secluded and serene. Great places to pitch a tent, fire rings and grills. There was access to water, electricity for one camper and a camp toilet. Will definitely be back and bring an even larger group. There are great hikes, waterfalls, a lake with beach and showers.

We stayed here for our High Adventure Trip and loved how beautiful and open the group site was. However, we had trouble checking in, as we arrived late, and there was no ranger or host to give us the key for the gate to the site the entire weekend. We had to leave our cars at the top of the hill and trek everything back and forth. Got our steps in for sure, but not very enjoyable.

I've stayed at the Chilhowee Group Camp many times now. I'm always delighted at how wonderful it is - it's in a beautiful and serene setting with trees all around. There is plenty of space to house a lot of tents (we usually have 25-40 people in our group) without tripping over each other. It is almost terraced. The community 'kitchen' area is wonderful -- we bring canopies that we put over the tables that protect from rain or sun. The tables are near the large grill area and there's a fire pit close by. I love the Chilhowee Group Camp.
