Lakeview RV Resort is primarily suited for long-term RV stays, featuring mostly gravel sites that are closely packed together. While some staff, like the propane technician, were praised for their helpfulness, customer service experiences varied, with reports of rudeness from management and difficulties in addressing guest needs. The campground's amenities are limited, with issues like a non-heated pool and restricted access to the lake, making it less appealing for short-term visitors, particularly race fans.

This is a decent campground, but it is definitely NOT a resort. I would go so far as saying it is mostly a long-term stay for RV’s. Most, if not all, of the sites had electric meters. All the roads and sites were gravel, not paved. Sites were close together. Some had concrete pads for a picnic table, but we were told those sites were over $180 per night. Definitely not worth it. Facility had seven, single person bathrooms; but only three were open. Two of those were having toilet flushing issues. Description says “lake view,” but to get to the “lake,” you had to walk across a two-lane road. Definitely couldn’t see the lake from the majority of the sites. Campground is near the Bristol Motor Speedway, but I’d recommend staying at Warriors Path State Park which is about 20 minutes away. It has full hookups, paved sites, and a decent bathhouse. Much less expensive too. Bottom line, this is not what you expect from the description.

Service Disabled Military Veteran 100% with service dog, when trying to inquire about a site. I have lung disease and heart disease and req power 24/7, they would not let me have my emergency power cargo trailer at a site (not that it wouldn't fit, she said it would, but she said she wouldn't accommodate my disability needs) and the same woman I spoke to on the phone hung up on me when I asked why??.....

It was an average RV park. Loud highway noises and the lots were smaller than most places.
The website states there is a heated pool but when we moved in we’re told they didn’t feel like heating it this year. They were in the process of taking out their WiFi and you will need to provide a modem for wired internet access.
On their website it offers $100 off your 2nd months rent but I had to go to the office and ask for the discount and the office manager was very rude anytime she was asked anything.
Not a bad place as long as you don’t plan on using the missing amenities or need to interact with the office workers.

As race fans, we loved coming to Lakeview twice a year. This year the ownership has changed (or at least we were told) and the woman at the front desk is extremely rude and snarky. Last year I won a 4-day stay playing bingo. We called to book and she didn’t want to honor it. My husband sent documentation and then was told they were booked solid. He persisted and finally we were given a site. Once here, things did not improve. My daughters and I walked to the little store to buy ice cream. I asked the same woman about booking for next year. She commented that they are no longer “catering to” race fans and will be 100% permanent residents. I asked if they would have karaoke, bingo or other activities that they usually provide for race fans and their families. She informed me that they’re spending their funds on permanent residents now. I asked about nearby rv parks and she snapped, “none with amenities like ours”. Okay… Oddly enough, they were far from full this trip and we found several RV resorts in the area. We did not feel welcome here. Also, the playground was removed, the horseshoe area gone, and access to the lake limited. The boat area seems abandoned.
