Defeated Creek Park is a beautiful and well-maintained campground, appreciated for its stunning views, friendly hosts, and ample outdoor activities, including biking, hiking, and water sports. Many visitors enjoyed their stay, highlighting the spacious, shaded sites and the park's family-friendly atmosphere. There was a lot of confusion at check in the new rule to show your discount card at the gate was not clear and I was charged for the difference in cost until I could prove I used my discount card. I made the reservation several months ago and there was nothing that said this card must be presented at check in. I was not sent a card just a QR code on the initial reservation. This whole process was not handled well at all.

Everything great: Host, volunteer, cleaners. grounds.
Choosing a negative would be, golf carts, ATV’s, electric scooters and bikes.

Great place to camp. Concern especially during tornado season as cell service and wi-fi not available for AT&T subscribers.

Defeated Creek COE campground was outstanding. Beautiful setting, scenery, quiet and peaceful. Campground was neat and clean. No cell or internet was exactly what we needed to disconnect from the outside world. We have put this campground on our must return list.
We had site 90 which might be tough for larger rv's. We stayed in a 25 ft Class-C which handled the incline just fine.
Overall great campground, great scenery and clean park.

Defeated Creek is our favorite campground. We try to go there at least once a year. The grounds are well kept and the sites are as well. We were in site 91, which was plenty big enough for our 36’ camper and our truck with room to spare. For a campground with 150 or so sites, it is very quiet. We didn’t use the bathhouses, so no comments on those. Just be aware if you have the America the Beautiful Senior Pass, they will ask for it and your drivers license.
