Fabulous place, very relaxing. No phone service, no Internet. Great place to get away. I will bring my boat next time.

We had lot #15 great spot to just set and look out over the water.
We put our Kayaks in just a few feet from campsite.
Very peaceful camping trip.

We love it there, it’s only 70 mi or less from home, well maintained & Cordell Hull lake is beautiful, not a lot of boat traffic, but I’ll give it a nine out of ten, no campground is perfect, I think in this day & time everyone should have access to full phone & internet service, those who disagree with that can turn their phones off or stay at home? Still love the park though 👍🏼

Not tent friendly. To many hills. Take something to the shower so your clothes don't get wet

Defeated creek is an idyllic campground, it’s my personal favorite. The sites are large enough to feel comfortable because you are not a few feet from your neighbors. Many of the sites have lake access with a great view of the trees and the water. They have sites for what ever type of camping you want to do from tents to full RV hook ups. It’s a peaceful pleasant vibe. We actually left another campground because a site came available, the other campground had none of these great features. You can boat, kayak, fish or swim. The only downfall is that it’s not easy to find a space, it’s that good!

We were here for a family reunion. Our campsite #26 was great. It's right on the water with a great view. There was a cool breeze coming off the water. The park attendants were super friendly and made us feel welcome.
