This used to be my favorite camp ground. I've been multiple times and rented cabins and this last time brought out camper. We came from Mcminnville and just wanted to do a fun weekend get away for their Halloween festivities. (Which we've enjoyed in the past)
Let's start with directions, I called on our way out and explained to the women who answered the phone that GPS was taking us and our 42 foot camper up Mayland Rd. I'd never been down Mayland Rd so I wanted to verify it was safe with a camper in tow. She assured us - yes that their was another RV site on or near Maryland Rd and it would be fine .. Well , it wasn't... I do not suggest this Rd for anyone reading this. During this conversation I asked when the tricker treating would be taking place and she said it would start at 5pm that evening (Friday). We finally made it to the campground (slightly frazzled from the terrifying drive) We had book a specific site ( paid in full) 3 months earlier - this site had a passenger side deck and with my handicap we felt it was perfect. The lady who checked us in showed us on the map which site it was and directed my husband to go around the loop (. Which used to be a tent camping area - now gravel RV hook up area) my husband was concerned with her directions and asked if she was sure he shouldn't go the other way around as to not get stuck ( he drives 🚛 so he is 💯 capable) she insisted he needed to go the other way ... Well .... She was wrong. Then he maneuvers to the site we reserved and it was about 25 foot short and no side deck. So we called and they changed us to a site with a deck off of the back. (They had other sites with side decks open the entire time we stayed but didn't move us to one even after I explained why I reserved the original site) We set up and our daughter got dressed up for trick -r- treating and guess what, after even asking when checking in - wrong night ! The next day was art and craft ( over before it even started) she didn't seem interested in sitting out there. Haunted hayride - waited in line for 45 minutes while they banged on the starter...We made the best of the weekend as a family. Needless to say they have improved the sites with nice decks but took away the feeling of a camping adventurebecause they added tons of gravel and tripled the RV sites. The campground was practically empty besides the full timers. We won't be back. That was the last time we will stay at Davey Crockett campground and it makes my heart sad.

Stayed here once when headed eastbound in July and on our return trip in September traveling west. Very easy on and off the interstate. We were in a 36 foot motorhome.

My family of 4 came to the campground 5 days before the 4th of July. The campground was pretty quiet, with several open spots until July 2nd when people poured in filling most of the vacancies. The sites are very level and are better than the pictures show. We like the mature trees throughout the campground. There is a stocked pond near the saltwater pool, basketball court, volleyball court, and playground. All are well maintained and better than most places I've stayed.
I'd guess 1/3 of the spots are occupied by permanent residents and all encounters we had were friendly.
There is a large hot tub & general store on the campground.
Restaurants and stores are within 10 minutes.
We'll definitely be back.
We only had good experiences here.

This place is absolutely fantastic. They have a heated pool (not working during my visit), but they also have a hot tub/spa. They also have a lake for fishing (catch and release). The campers are friendly and it is extremely clean. We have our own RV, but used all of there facilities. They have reasonable prices too. You gotta go to the gift shop and get a shirt that you color yourself. 😁

We had marvelous stay. Met some amazing people while there . Plan to meet back same time next year. Pool very nice. Great clean bathrooms/ showers. Good pressure water and nice hot showers. We didn’t use spa house but looked very welcoming . The trails were very nice. We rode bikes on them . Nice big trash cans at each site which used bag is picked up and replaced daily so nice!!! Little store has basic necessities and some souvenirs . Wood and ice available also . Many movies to choose from to check out . The big lounge rock beside pond was amazing!! We will return ASAP.
