Be Aware! This is an extremely unorganized campground. We arrived at 6:45 pm to our reserved site being occupied. We had driven 12 hours, that's why we reserved a site... spoke to the off-duty host who said to go into a "closed" site. The "closed" site was also occupied (there were no cones or signs showing this site was closed). Returned to speak with host, let him know we only needed one night, saw other open sites asked if we could stay in those, he said we'd have to move if someone came in because he didn't know what was supposed to be occupied... I asked if he could move the person in our site, he tried but they didn't come to the door, so he moved the people in the "closed" site... to a site we could have been in... very unorganized.
All that said, the campground was nice restrooms/showers were functional.
Please post if sites are occupied or not...

Small but nice campground. Great location close to shopping and restaurants. Waterfront sites are very nice and spacious and have nice view of the lake.

Clean, quiet park. Site was next to Old Hickory Lake.
No sewer sites in the park and a lot of the lake sites are backwards. you are not looking at the lake from your campsite.

From Nashville, TN, travel North on I-65 and take TN-386/Vietnam Veterans Blvd. Continue to exit 12, Big Station Camp Blvd. Turn right onto Big Station Camp Bldvd. Continue staight across Nashville Pike onto Cages Bend Road. Take Cages Bend Road to Benders Ferry Road. The recreation area will be ahead on the left.
Cages Bend is accessible via Benders Ferry Road, which connects to State Route 109 approximately 5 miles to the west, providing access to Interstate 40 about 10 miles to the south.

Policies & Rules
Arrival & departure
- All campsites require a reservation; walk-ins are not allowed.
- Check-in time is at 3:00 PM and check-out time is at 12:00 PM.
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
Fires & fuel
- Do not move firewood; purchase it locally and burn it on-site to protect forests.
