We had a good time. Our site was clean and we didn’t have any problems. We were up top in 43 but there is some drainage problems down near the lake that the Corp needs to address.

They had a stopped up road drain which caused my campsite after every rain to stay wet for 6 to 7 days. Had steady stream for a week twice. Finally loaded up two days early and came home. Spoke with host about the problem. I’ve always known that site 16 takes on a little water which you could sweep away after the rain and it would dry up, but that wasn’t happening this time.

An absolutely unique Cumberland River experience built in the fifties when architects, not accountants, designed campgrounds. Most sites are bi-level, all have paved pads and patios, the shower houses are immaculate, the water is palatable, and I couldn’t imagine a finer campground. Boat launch and trailer parking. Transient boat rental slips would be awesome but everything else here is perfect. Experience the wonder, power, and beauty of the Cumberland River from your campsite. The beach slopes gradually and is great for swimming. The grounds people are hard working and thorough! THANKS for keeping this place amazing for seventy years. ❤️🙏🕺

Beautiful park unfortunately we didn’t get to enjoy it. We live locally and decided to leave instead of listening to the unattended dogs in site 17 bark every time the wind blew. It wasn’t worth it to us to complain about it and make trouble for them. We travel with dogs but never leave them unattended outside of our rv.
